Joeshae Bussey, 43, previously pleaded guilty to drug delivery resulting in death, possession of a controlled substance, criminal use of a communication facility and involuntary manslaughter, according to prosecutors.

Authorities said Bussey sold 37-year-old Ryan Dillon the pills that killed him on Dec. 23, 2022. Prosecutors said the pair had previously lived together in a recovery house.

Dillon was found dead from fentanyl and alprazolam intoxication at his Kindle Lane in Bristol Township, investigators said. Four round, blue tablets that later tested positive for fentanyl, methamphetamine, and xylazine were found at the scene, along with Dillon's alprazolam prescription, according to police.

During the investigation that followed, authorities said they found text messages between Dillon and Bussey arranging the sale of the pills on Dec. 22. Security footage from a Haines Road bar showed both men meeting the same day, they added.

At his sentencing on Wednesday, April 3, Bussey was sentenced to seven to 14 years, the DA's Office said.
